How It Works
1. The Minimum Module Constraint
Individual German universities typically set requirements based on your lowest module score, not your average. For standard admissions, the globally recognized target is 4 x TDN 4. If you achieve three 5s and one 3, your effective classification falls to TDN 3 (B2 equivalent), which may trigger conditional placement rather than full admission.
Our engine analyzes all 4 scores dynamically and reports the conservative placement recognized by official international bureaus.
2. DSH Percentage Thresholds
The DSH (Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang) grades are assigned strictly by percentage totals across the integrated examination paper:
- DSH-3 (82% - 100%): Equates to TestDaF 4x5 (C2 level mastery).
- DSH-2 (67% - 81%): Equates to TestDaF 4x4 (C1 level). Standard for university.
- DSH-1 (57% - 66%): Equates to TestDaF 4x3 (B2 level).
