How the review works
The Gates Scholarship reviews applications in stages. After the September deadline, reviewers narrow the pool to semifinalists, then to finalists who go through an interview round. Selected Scholars find out in spring, ahead of the following fall semester, giving you time to compare the award against offers from other colleges and scholarships.
