How TOEFL iBT Works
What is TOEFL iBT?
The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) iBT is a standardized English proficiency test widely accepted for university admission and professional certification worldwide.
The test measures your ability to use and understand English in academic contexts. It takes approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes and assesses four skills: reading, listening, speaking, and writing.

Typical University Requirements
How Your Total Score Is Calculated
Your total TOEFL iBT score is the sum of your four section scores. Each section is scored on a scale of 0-30 points, giving you a total possible score of 0-120.
Formula: Reading + Listening + Speaking + Writing = Total Score
Example 1: 28 + 26 + 24 + 25 = 103 (Advanced)
Example 2: 20 + 20 + 20 + 20 = 80 (High Intermediate)
