How NYSC Decides Your State of Deployment
When you register on the NYSC portal , you list preferred states of deployment in order. NYSC does not guarantee any of them. Deployment State vs Place of Primary Assignment
Your state of deployment is the state named on your call-up letter, decided before you reach camp. Your Place of Primary Assignment (PPA) is the specific school, ministry, company or organization where you work within that state, and this gets assigned during the second half of orientation camp based on your course of study, skills, and the needs local officials submit.

Redeployment: Changing Your State
Redeployment means moving your service to an entirely different state. NYSC treats this as a bigger request than relocation and restricts it to defined grounds such as marriage to a spouse resident in another state, documented health conditions requiring care unavailable in your posted state, or verified security threats.
