How GMAT Focus Edition Works

What is GMAT Focus Edition?

The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) Focus Edition is a standardized exam for MBA and graduate business school admissions worldwide. Launched in late 2023, it replaced the traditional GMAT format with a more concise, relevant test.

The exam takes approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes and measures your readiness for graduate-level business education through three specialized sections.

How Your Total Score Is Calculated

Your total GMAT Focus Edition score is calculated based on your three section scores. All three sections are equally weighted, meaning each contributes 33.3% to your final score. The formula combines and scales your section scores to produce a composite score from 205 to 805.

Calculation: Scaled score based on Quantitative, Verbal, and Data Insights section performance.
