Program details

Overview

The diabetes educator postgraduate programme deepens knowledge of all aspects of diabetes care for healthcare professionals already working in care. Students learn to design an education programme for a patient with diabetes, with a focus on multidisciplinary and patient-centred work. Case studies are central to almost every lesson, with much interaction between students and lecturers. Graduates can work in specialised care, or in primary care as self-employed home nurses or as employees. They can also take a role in a local multidisciplinary team. The programme ends with a certificate that allows a specific RIZIV number to be requested. The award is a postgraduate diploma.
