The two-year master's course in English trains engineers to analyse, monitor and reduce risks from hydrological and geological hazards, including floods, landslides, debris flows and droughts. Teaching models the geological, hydrological and agro-forestry systems that govern water and terrain, from national to global scale, under climate change. Coursework combines civil engineering, geological and agro-forestry sciences, elective exams, language credits and a final thesis.
The award is the Laurea Magistrale, a second-cycle degree of 120 credits. Graduates can work as independent professionals or as senior technical staff in public or private bodies that handle territorial planning and water resources.
