Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying

Quantity surveyors sit at the centre of a construction project, contributing from the earliest planning stages through procurement, execution and final completion. This Bachelor of Science trains students for that role, teaching them to handle project budgets and costs, track progress payments, keep a tight rein on cost control, measure completed work accurately, and close a project out properly once it finishes. To do the job well, graduates need detailed knowledge of construction processes, materials and contracts, together with an understanding of project and construction management, so the course builds all of these areas alongside the softer skills the role demands: interpersonal communication, negotiation, problem solving and decision making when working alongside other professionals and clients. Malta's construction sector has a recognised shortage of qualified quantity surveyors, which the programme positions graduates to help address, pointing to strong opportunities for skilled surveying graduates across the industry.
