Undergraduate Diploma in Credit Management and Collections

Credit now underpins most consumer and business transactions in Malta, and this Undergraduate Diploma looks at the management side of that shift: how organisations extend credit responsibly and how they recover it when accounts fall overdue. The course opens by framing debtors as one of the largest assets on a trading company's balance sheet, then asks what that means for the people who set credit policy. From there, students work through the questions directors and business owners face when managing receivables -- how much credit to extend, to whom, and how to structure collections so that cash flow stays healthy without damaging customer relationships. Both individual (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) credit environments are covered. The diploma carries 60 ECTS at MQF Level 5, running full-time over about ten months or part-time over twenty, and prepares graduates for roles in credit control, collections and receivables management.
