Program details

Overview

This three-year, full-time MQF Level 4 advanced diploma (120 ECTS credits) prepares technicians for careers in electrical power systems across domestic and industrial settings, built around the requirements Malta's energy and water-services regulator, REWS, sets for Electrical Wireman's Authorisation A and B. The course gives students a solid technical grounding in the regulations and health and safety requirements that govern the electrical installation industry. Modules covering building services, photovoltaic systems and electronic control technology add further depth, and students also gain exposure to mechanical workshop practice. Graduates typically move into roles such as plant electrical technician, industry technician or lead industrial electrician. Entry is via an MCAST Level 3 Diploma plus four SEC-level passes, and every applicant must pass a Colour Vision Assessment approved by REWS.

Requirements
