Program details
Overview
This one-year, full-time MQF Level 2 programme (60 ECTS credits) gives prospective learners a structured introduction to engineering, built around practical, hands-on work, project-style learning and activities connected to industry that help students form a clear picture of the specific trade or vocation they might want to pursue. The course provides a broad grounding in basic theoretical concepts and practical skills across mechanical, electrical and electronics engineering.
Key-skills subjects run throughout, giving learners the chance to build competence in English, Maltese, Mathematics, Science and Information Technology alongside the engineering content. The course is designed to prepare students for further study rather than direct employment, acting as a stepping stone into higher-level MCAST engineering diplomas once this one-year, 60-ECTS foundation course is successfully complete.
