MA/MS in Accounting and Auditing

Accounting and Auditing is a master's programme for students who enjoy working with numbers, assessing business performance and giving business or tax advice. It is taught over four semesters, carries 120 ECTS credits and leads to the title magister poslovnih ved. The programme provides the knowledge to prepare business reports independently, make business decisions, audit and advise on taxes. It covers financial and management accounting, taxes, auditing, strategic accounting, finance and risk management. Students also develop analytical ability, problem-solving, teamwork and leadership skills, and the stress on strategy, ethics and sustainable development prepares them for responsible work in a dynamic business environment. Accountants and auditors play a significant role in company decisions, in preventing or detecting irregularities and in annual reporting, and the profession is described as stable even in times of crisis.
