Overview

The Dentistry programme at the Faculty of Dentistry is a five-year integrated undergraduate course. The first two years cover basic medicine and pre-clinical dentistry, third-year students observe clinical work alongside theory, and the final two years centre on clinical practice together with dentistry and medicine courses. Stated aims include training dentists who can diagnose, assess and manage oral and dental diseases, practise with ethical values, carry out scientific research and provide preventive dental care to the community. The faculty applies a class-promotion system.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Admission through the national YKS exam and ÖSYM central placement, score type SAY. 2026 quota 38 places; lowest placement score 484.7 (success rank 31,846). Minimum success rank 80,000 in SAY.

Application Details

Application Process: Turkish applicants list the programme among their choices (tercih) in ÖSYM's central placement after the YKS results each July; international applicants apply directly to the university's international student office under the YÖS quota, usually between May and August.
