Overview

The two-year programme trains technicians for the arms and defence industry, covering CNC machines, CAD-CAM programmes and mechanical equipment drawing. Students gain practical and theoretical knowledge of general mechanics and learn to assemble machines for drawing and operational purposes. Graduates receive an associate degree and the title Tekniker. They can work as turning and milling operators, CNC or CAD-CAM operators, technical drawers, quality control staff, heat-treatment operators or technical service staff, and may transfer to engineering programmes through the vertical transfer exam.

Admission Requirements: Admission through ÖSYM central placement using the TYT score type, with 35 places in 2026. Lowest placement score was 340.9 (success rank 471,927).

Application Details

Application Process: Turkish applicants list the programme among their choices (tercih) in ÖSYM's central placement after the YKS results each July; international applicants apply directly to the university's international student office under the YÖS quota, usually between May and August.
