Overview

The two-year Prayer Beads Design and Manufacturing programme at Mardin Artuklu University's Vocational School combines the cultural and artistic roots of traditional prayer-bead making with modern design and production methods. It is practice-based, with workshop work from the first design idea to the finished product, and it aims to produce original, high-quality products. Courses cover prayer-bead culture and history, basic design, technical drawing, digital design, materials knowledge, surface finishing, assembly and stringing, quality control, occupational safety, sustainable production and product development, with entrepreneurship and marketing included.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Central placement through the YKS exam using the TYT score type, 20 places, lowest placement score 256.4 (success rank 1,407,860). Candidates need a high school diploma or equivalent and a sufficient TYT score.

Application Details

Application Process: Turkish applicants list the programme among their choices (tercih) in ÖSYM's central placement after the YKS results each July; international applicants apply directly to the university's international student office under the YÖS quota, usually between May and August.
