— it helps other students.
The Anthropology master's program gives every student shared training in theory, applied practice, designing research, interpreting data, and writing, while each focuses on one of three areas: the biological side of the field, the cultural side, or public archaeology. The degree helps people seeking careers as practicing anthropologists or in public archaeology, people with interdisciplinary aims such as building cultural skills into work in health, commerce, or legal careers, and people who want an anthropology doctorate but are not yet prepared to enroll directly.
Students finish through either a thesis or a graduate project, developed in consultation with faculty advisors.
