Cert in Finance and Financial Management Services

This certificate prepares students for beginner jobs at commercial and community banks, insurers and investment firms. Courses stress key financial concepts and customer service skills. Every course counts toward the Finance associate degree and can be taken online. There is no co-op component. The Finance program is registered with AFCPE as an education provider, offering a path to the Accredited Financial Counselor exam. The program code is BFSC. Two courses, Personal Finance and Interviewing and Counseling, make students eligible for the AFC exam, and both are offered online. Verified financial counseling experience is also required for the designation. Cincinnati State Technical and Community College publishes the full semester-by-semester course plan on the program page, along with inquiry and application links for prospective students.
