BA/BS in Dance

The Bachelor of Arts in Dance is housed in the School of Performing Arts at DeSales University. Students are trained as artists who can express themselves honestly through movement, with coursework that pairs studio practice with the study of dance theory. Majors take part in each semester's performance life, working as dancers, understudies or crew members in two showcase concerts, one for emerging choreographers and one for the full ensemble. Visiting choreographers and artists from the New York and Philadelphia areas teach master classes and create new pieces, and juniors and seniors can present their own choreography. The program is delivered in class during the day, runs four years, and requires 120.5 credit hours. Students begin in the fall semester, and applications are accepted at any time.
