BA/BS in Accounting and Related Services

Accounting at Fairfield is a Bachelor of Science taught in the Dolan School of Business. Students learn to record, analyze and communicate the financial results of people and organizations, while also completing a broad liberal arts education. Faculty know their majors personally and help build both technical ability and communication skill. The program also shows how accounting connects with other business fields. Because New York City is about an hour away and several large corporations are based in the region, students are urged to seek internships, whether with international firms or smaller nonprofit groups. Strong students may enter a combined BS/MS track and complete both degrees in roughly five years, which can reduce overall tuition. Graduates pursue work in finance, consulting, technology and marketing, among other areas. The major is 51 credits and the minor 15. Prospective applicants can contact undergraduate admission.
