Overview

The Design Innovation Certificate shows professionals how design thinking drives innovative organisations. Participants learn to measure the effect of design and innovation on business results, ask better questions about products, services and systems, and gain sustainability know-how. Courses are taught online by KCAD faculty and mix synchronous and asynchronous formats. Weekend sessions for brainstorming, simulation and collaboration open and close each seven-week course. Cohorts begin in January, May and August, and applications are considered after priority deadlines. Prospective students can request information or begin an application from the program page. Entry standards for graduate applicants, including the transcripts and supporting documents to submit, are listed there, and a graduate advisor can answer questions about sequencing courses alongside work and other commitments.
