Overview

This criminal justice associate degree is built for students who want to protect and serve the public. Learners study criminal law, constitutional law, how courts work and the part police play in a democracy. Training draws on a large, technologically advanced public safety facility on the Treasure Coast. Students can also gain hands-on experience through a cold case institute, working with local law enforcement on unsolved investigations. The college lists related options, including an Associate in Arts, a crime scene technology degree and a bachelor's degree in criminal justice, giving students several routes from law enforcement careers to crime scene investigation. Prospective students can request information or start an application directly from the program page. The institution, often called The River, serves the Treasure Coast region of Florida and welcomes learners at several stages of their education.
