MA/MS in Biomedical/Medical Engineering

This master's program is meant for students planning research and development careers or heading toward a PhD or MD/PhD. A course-based plan takes 30 credits, and a thesis track takes the same 30 credits along with a thesis project finished in the second year. Applicants with engineering undergraduate degrees are eligible, and strong students with basic science degrees may apply but would usually need extra courses. The department does not give financial aid, though outside aid exists and former Johns Hopkins students may get partial tuition remission. Thesis-track students may receive negotiated packages that include a monthly stipend or tuition waivers.
