PGCert in International Relations and National Security Studies

Marymount University offers a graduate-level international relations certificate for students who hold a bachelor's or master's in any discipline. It helps participants understand the factors that shape diplomatic, economic and security relations between countries. The emphasis falls on fluency in scientific research methods, and students carry out their own research projects at the graduate level. Courses take place on Marymount campuses, with optional study abroad arranged through the Center for Global Engagement. The university describes the certificate as especially useful for young professionals, including people who want to brush up on core ideas and case examples before applying for a master's or comparable degree. Within the university it sits under the Sciences and Humanities college, in its social and behavioral sciences department, and the Apply Now link on the university site is the place to begin an application.
