BA/BS in Biopsychology

Biopsychology at McKendree University brings together biology and psychology to study how the brain, body, and behavior relate to one another. The major is aimed at students who want a scientific foundation for further study or for work in health and behavior related fields. Students learn in small classes with experienced faculty and take part in the internship experiences the university promotes across its programs. The department reminds students heading to graduate or professional school to check the requirements of their chosen programs early, since extra courses may be needed. The major provides a solid base, and careful planning with an advisor helps students add any additional prerequisites before applying. The program is taught on the McKendree campus in Lebanon, Illinois, and prospective students can request information, schedule a visit, or apply online through the university. Faculty contacts are listed on the program page for questions about courses, advising, and career directions.
