Overview

The Online Certificate in Ministry Leadership is designed for people preparing for volunteer or vocational ministry who want continuing education that fits a busy life. It joins theology with practice in a Bible-centered setting, and completing it meets the educational requirements for several Assemblies of God credential levels. Students take one course at a time in a cohort, with a break each December, and can finish in about two years. The format is asynchronous, and new groups start six times each year. Coursework builds biblical literacy, interpretive skill, analytical thought, and awareness of diversity, along with leadership and interpersonal abilities. Individual courses are also open to people who want further study for personal enrichment, provided they meet prerequisites. Students who later wish to continue can discuss how the coursework might apply toward further study with admissions staff.
