Cert in Accounting and Related Services

The Accounting Pathway to CPA Certificate is offered by the Department of Accounting at Purdue University Fort Wayne. It is meant for people who already hold a bachelor's degree in a field other than accounting and want to add depth in that area. Through focused accounting coursework, students prepare for a business career and work toward becoming eligible to sit for the CPA exam. The education also provides tools for analysis, prediction and decision-making that are useful in many business settings. The curriculum is demanding, and students benefit from business-networking opportunities and the support of the campus community. Careers linked to the field include accountant, auditor, controller, financial analyst, tax accountant and chief financial officer. Related options include the Bachelor of Science in Business in accounting and a certificate in accounting skills for professionals.
