MA/MS in Theological and Ministerial Studies

Saint Leo University's online master's degree in theology serves adult graduate students, lay ministers, and those preparing for the diaconate. Its flexible adult-learning format lets students balance study with home and work. The thirty-six credit hour curriculum explores questions about God, Christ, human origins and purpose, ethical and cultural implications, Catholic tradition, and contemplative practice, along with skills for liturgical and pastoral leadership. Rooted in the Benedictine tradition, the program helps students understand people and cultures more fully, which informs service in church, classroom, courtroom, or social service settings. Saint Leo lists the expected time to complete as 2 years, with 36 credit hours in the program. Prospective students can request information, speak with the admissions team, or submit an application through the university website to learn how to get started.
