BA/BS in Biotechnology

Industrial Biotechnology is a bachelor of applied science that trains students to use living cells or enzymes to make bio-based products for sectors such as chemicals, food, textiles and energy. The program prepares graduates for biomanufacturing, quality control and research roles, with hands-on work in genetic modification and assay development. The college has stopped taking new applications because the degree is being discontinued, and current students are supported through a teach-out period. Earlier admission required a solid grade average, an associate degree or sufficient credit hours and prerequisite science, calculus and statistics courses passed with a C or higher.
