Program details

Overview

This degree gives students a wide understanding of crime and the ways society controls it, preparing them for careers in the justice system, in criminology and in related professions. The broad curriculum is applied to policing, the courts, prisons and corrections, victim advocacy, juvenile justice and cybersecurity. Coursework challenges critical thinking and is balanced by real practice in internships, trips abroad and other hands-on learning. Students may also enter a combined bachelor's and law degree path; those who go on to the university's College of Law through it receive scholarship money in every one of their three law school years. The program belongs to Biscayne College. Prospective students can request details, apply or schedule a campus visit from the program page, which also outlines the courses and what the program involves.
