MA/MS in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical/Space Engineering

This master of science lets students go deeper in a chosen focus area, around which most of their courses are arranged. Both thesis and non-thesis routes exist, so students can pick whichever suits their goals. Funded research positions for master's students are scarce, so anyone interested in writing a thesis is advised to complete several classes before committing to that route. In certain focus areas, extra coursework can stand in for the thesis under the non-thesis route. Overall, the degree provides advanced training in the discipline and builds on an undergraduate background in aerospace or a related engineering field, giving graduates a stronger technical base than a bachelor's alone. Prospective students should confirm current details with the program before applying. Anyone planning an application should check the department's published information for the latest specifics.
