Overview

This bachelor's degree in electronic engineering technology at UMass Lowell extends applied electronics into systems-level study, giving students a broader technical base than the associate pathway. The published pathway covers students who enter in Fall 2024 or later. The technical core begins with circuits and electronics courses that include lab sessions. It continues with signals and systems, digital logic design, control systems, electromagnetic theory and microprocessors. Later courses address systems analysis, engineering economics and a capstone design project, supported by calculus up to differential equations and a data analysis course. Students also pick technical electives, for example analog filter design or radar systems, and complete the university core in mathematics, writing, science and social science.
