This pathway follows a 0-6 model for the Doctor of Pharmacy. High school seniors who qualify are guaranteed a place in the professional PharmD phase, as long as they hit set academic benchmarks in their first two years of pre-professional study.
Students stay on the same campus with familiar faculty and classmates as they move into the professional phase, which adds four more years. An undergraduate degree in Pharmacy Studies is available at the four-year mark, and the PharmD follows at six years.
Pharmacists dispense medications, give vaccinations and give guidance to colleagues in care teams about appropriate therapies. Learners work with dedicated faculty and can use the facilities of the pharmacy school while preparing for the professional phase of study. Prospective students can request information or start an application through the program page, which also links to faculty profiles and further details about what a typical course of study involves.
