Overview
National Polytechnic University of Armenia, the legal successor of Yerevan Polytechnic Institute (YerPI) was founded in 1933.
In 1991, YerPI was reorganized into State Engineering University of Armenia (SEUA), which was reestablished and renamed as 'National Polytechnic University of Armenia' Foundation (NPUA) in November, 2014. The central campus of NPUA is located in Yerevan (the Capital City), and the branch campuses – in Gyumri, Vanadsor and Kapan, thus embracing in its sphere all the industrial regions of the country.
The University has a leading role in the reformations of the higher education system of Armenia. NPUA is a member of European University Association (EUA), the Black Sea Universities Network (BSUN), the Association of Technical Universities of the RF, Network University of CIS countries, etc.
