Overview
First created in 1968 as Royal University of Battambang, but from 1975 to 1994 was not in operation.
In 1994 it became the Battambang Regional Teacher’s Training School and from 1998 to 2007 it was the Battambang Branch of the National University of Management. The University was officially established in 2007 as the University of Battambang and started its new academic year in October 2008.
In 2020, the university became the National University of Battambang.
