Overview
Created in 2000 as Szent István Egyetem (University of Saint Stephen) following the merger of Gödöllő University of Agricultural Sciences, University of Veterinary Science, University of Horticulture and Food Industry, Jászberény Teacher Training College, and Yászberény Teacher Training College.
In 2016 added the faculties of Food Science, Horticultural Science, and Landscape Architecture and Urbanism of Corvinus University of Budapest. In 2020, Kaposvár University, the Károly Róbert Campus (Gyöngyös) of Eszterházy University and the Georgikon Faculty (Keszthely) of Pannon University were added to the university.
