Overview
Universidad Europea de Canarias is the Canary Islands presence of Universidad Europea, a private university network that describes itself as the largest in Spain.
In the Canaries it operates from two campuses, one in La Orotava on Tenerife and one in Santa Cruz. Students there can choose from health-oriented degrees such as Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing and Psychology, alongside Law, Business Administration, Mathematics, Sport Sciences, Tourism and Leisure Management and graphic design, with a mix of on-campus and online delivery depending on the programme.
Teaching is mainly in Spanish, though the wider network also offers English-taught options. The group highlights strong graduate employability, with about 91 percent of students finding work within fifteen months, and a place in the national top five of private universities according to El Mundo.
Its wider community counts roughly 130,000 alumni across Madrid, Valencia, the Canaries and online study.
The university also runs regular open days for prospective students, including sessions for Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing and Psychology at the La Orotava campus, and for Social Sciences in Santa Cruz.
