CEGEP Application Deadlines for SRAM, SRACQ and SRASL: The Full-Year Calendar

By Muntasir Minhaz • Published Aug 18, 2026 • Admissions & Applications, Canadian Universities & Colleges

TL;DR

Quebec CEGEP admission runs through three regional services, not one national portal. SRAM covers Montreal, SRACQ covers Quebec City and the surrounding region, SRASL covers Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, and each publishes its own dated calendar for fall and winter entry.

  • ⏱️ SRASL's Fall 2026 cycle runs five separate rounds between January and August 2026, the last one handled directly by individual colleges.

  • 📩 SRAM opens regular applications for the following winter session each September. Winter 2027 regular admissions opened September 15, 2026.

  • SRACQ keeps a separate late admission window in early-to-mid August for Fall seats still open.

  • Exact day-of-month deadlines shift slightly each cycle. Confirm the current one on the relevant service's site before you submit.

CEGEP Application Deadlines for SRAM, SRACQ and SRASL: The Full-Year Calendar

Three services, one shared shape

Every CEGEP application in Quebec goes through one of three regional admission services, decided by where the CEGEP you want is located, not where you live. SRAM (Service régional d'admission du Montréal métropolitain) covers CEGEPs across the greater Montreal area. SRACQ covers Quebec City and the surrounding region. SRASL covers the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region. If you apply to CEGEPs covered by more than one service, submit a separate application, usually with a separate fee, to each one.

All three follow the same general pattern: a main round for fall entry, a separate round for winter entry, and a late admission period afterward for seats still open. The exact dates differ between the services and shift slightly from one cycle to the next.

SRASL's Fall 2026 round-by-round calendar

SRASL publishes the most detailed public breakdown, running Fall 2026 admission across five separate rounds.

RoundWindow
Round 1January 22 to March 1, 2026
Round 2March 20 to May 1, 2026
Round 3May 12 to June 1, 2026
Round 4June 9 to August 3, 2026
Round 5August 17 to August 28, 2026, handled directly by individual colleges rather than through SRASL

Each round is a distinct submission window. Applying earlier in the sequence gives your file more rounds of consideration if your first-ranked choice does not work out. Source: srasl.qc.ca .

SRAM's calendar

SRAM confirms that regular admission for the winter 2027 session opened September 15, 2026, which sets the pattern: winter-session applications open in September of the preceding year. SRAM also runs a separate late admission procedure for the fall session, for students applying after the regular round closes with seats still open. SRAM's fall regular-round submission deadline was not confirmable at time of writing, so check the current cycle's exact date directly on sram.qc.ca under its admission timeline page before you apply.

SRACQ's calendar

SRACQ runs a late admission window for the Fall 2026 session generally from the start of August to mid-August, with applications during that window processed in 24 to 72 hours. As with SRAM, confirm SRACQ's regular-round submission deadline for the specific session you are targeting directly on sracq.qc.ca , since it was not confirmable at time of writing.

What stays the same across all three services

  • Fall entry is the main intake. Winter entry exists but with fewer programs open.

  • Applying inside the regular round gives you the widest program selection. Late admission only fills seats left over after the regular round.

  • Document deadlines (transcripts, proof of citizenship or residency) usually trail a few weeks behind the choice-submission deadline, not the same date.

  • Offers go out on a rolling basis within each round, not all at once on a single publish date.

How to build your own calendar

  1. Identify which regional service covers each CEGEP on your list.

  2. Bookmark that service's admission timeline page and check it at the start of the semester before you plan to apply.

  3. Set your own reminder for at least two weeks before the regular round closes, so you have time to gather documents.

  4. If you miss the regular round, check the late admission page for that service immediately. Space fills on a first-come basis.
