๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ India: CUET Score-to-Percentile Matcher

Convert your CUET UG raw subject marks into an indicative NTA percentile using the official +5/-1 marking scheme and the equi-percentile band reference.

NTA rule: +5 for each correct answer, โˆ’1 for each wrong, 0 for unattempted. Each subject is out of 250 marks (50 questions ร— 5).

Unattempted = 50 โˆ’ (Correct + Wrong). Combined attempts cannot exceed 50.

Cut-offs vary yearly. Reference values reflect typical 2024โ€“2025 closing percentiles.

How the CUET Percentile Match Works

Official marking scheme. Each CUET UG domain subject contains 50 questions. The National Testing Agency (NTA) awards +5 for every correct answer and deducts โˆ’1 for every wrong answer; unattempted questions score zero. The maximum per subject is 250 and the theoretical minimum is โˆ’50 (all 50 wrong).

Equi-percentile normalisation. NTA computes percentile separately for each shift using: Percentile = 100 ร— (number of candidates with raw marks โ‰ค candidate) รท (total candidates in that session). Multi-shift normalised marks then equate one session to another so that the same percentile maps to the same normalised mark across all shifts.

Marks-to-percentile reference band. Since session-level distributions are released only after results, this tool uses the published historical Treat results as indicative; the official percentile depends on your specific session pool.

The regulatory trap. Many calculators forget the โˆ’1 penalty and silently report raw = correct ร— 5, inflating low-accuracy candidates. This tool enforces correct + wrong โ‰ค 50 and propagates the deduction, so guess-heavy attempt patterns surface a realistic band โ€” not a fictional one.

Primary sources. Refer to the National Testing Agency (NTA) official notices for the binding normalisation policy, and the CUET UG portal (cuet.nta.nic.in) for session-specific question counts, marking scheme and the latest information bulletin.
