BA/BS in Applied Informatics

The Bachelor programme in Applied Informatics is run by the Department of Applied and Computer Sciences, which has followed a path of innovative teaching and research built on new ideas and technologies. Teaching aims to move beyond the classical transmission of theory towards an interactive model in which concepts are presented and applied at the same time. Students try out the concepts introduced by the lecturer on their own computers in the classroom, in real time. The institution also expects students to be active outside the curriculum, and they take part regularly in national and international projects and competitions. The programme builds expertise in technologies that can be applied in almost every industry. Its teaching is organised to meet the needs of the local market while also opening a global perspective, and it guides students towards careers in applied computing.
