The Bàtxelor in Education Sciences (equivalent to a bachelor's degree or licence) trains pre-school and primary teachers able to meet the learning needs of children aged 0 to 12 and to teach across different languages. It covers the pedagogical methods used in Andorran state schools, together with the competencies for democratic citizenship and human-rights education promoted by the Council of Europe, and places particular emphasis on innovation and the classroom use of technology.
The programme follows a dual model: from the second year onward, academic study at the university is combined with placements in schools, bringing training closer to classroom reality and strengthening the link between theory and practice. In the fifth semester, students may take a study or training placement abroad to reinforce their language skills. The Bàtxelor is accredited by Andorra's Quality Agency for Higher Education (AQUA) for European recognition and leads to a state qualification awarded by the Government of Andorra.
