The Bachelor's programme in Architecture covers designing, shaping, planning and constructing the built environment, from the first sketch to the execution plan with the aim of realisation. Its scope ranges from simple buildings to urban planning, landscape and infrastructure, and from new construction to refurbishment, conversion of existing buildings and the maintenance of heritage monuments. It draws on artistic, technical, structural, ecological, cultural and economic aspects, as well as the history of architecture up to the present and an understanding of how people live together and how societal processes affect architecture. Taught in German over six semesters with 180 ECTS credits, it leads to the Bachelor of Science.
