MA/MS in Legal Studies

Legal Studies is a master's programme of 60 ECTS at Slobomir P University. Students choose one of four tracks: legal theory, civil law, criminal law, or general security. The legal theory track focuses on contemporary ideas in the philosophy and theory of law, preparing students to assess the state and direction of national and comparative legal processes in light of fundamental legal-philosophical values, principles and concepts. The civil law track deepens understanding of current property, obligations, family and civil procedure law and its use in court and administrative practice, and prepares students to analyse civil law institutions independently, draft general legal acts and resolve civil law cases. The criminal law track deepens understanding of criminal law and criminal procedure, criminology and criminalistics, and their application in practice. A fourth track, general security, completes the range of options offered within the programme.
