The Computer Science and Informatics programme at Sinergija University gives students the knowledge needed to recognise real-world problems, express them as algorithms and implement them in modern programming languages.
Students also learn to design and administer computer networks and databases within complete information systems built on internet technologies and web services. A distinctive element of the programme is its study of theoretically grounded mechanisms for protecting information on computers and across networks, together with their practical implementation in computer protocols.
The programme was shaped around the needs of the current job market, with the intention of preparing future graduates for attractive positions in the field. Software packages are used during delivery of the programme. The programme combines programming, networking, database work and information security in a single course of study, so students see how these areas fit together in working information systems.
