Diploma in Hospitality Management & Operations – Politeknik Brunei

Politeknik Brunei's Diploma Apprenticeship in Hospitality Management & Operations is structured as an apprenticeship rather than a conventional diploma, combining paid on-the-job training with school-based learning so students earn while they study. The programme targets business management and operational competencies specific to the hospitality sector, rather than generic management skills applied afterward to hospitality. Apprentices are expected to build both theoretical knowledge and technical capability through that paid, workplace-based component, with the course aiming to prepare them for complex work situations, organisational and professional expectations, and ethical, sustainable practice standards recognised both nationally and internationally. To graduate, apprentices must pass all modules and all on-the-job training components, and accumulate 88 credit values with satisfactory attendance. The qualification leads directly toward supervisory hospitality roles, from assistant hotel manager to guest service and events coordination, with a bachelor's degree in hotel, hospitality or events management named as the natural next step for apprentices who continue studying.
