Program details

Overview

The Doctor of Chiropractic Program at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College is a second-entry, four-year professional doctorate and is the college's largest program. Admission requires prior university-level study, and the curriculum follows an evidence-based model of care centred on spinal and musculoskeletal health, differential diagnosis, and patient-centred practice. In the first two years, students build a foundation in basic and clinical sciences alongside hands-on courses in chiropractic technique, diagnosis, orthopaedics, and diagnostic imaging. The third year shifts toward case-based integration of that knowledge to prepare students for clinical work, and the fourth year consists of a full clinical internship at CMCC's own teaching clinics, where interns deliver supervised patient care and education under a licensed chiropractor. Throughout the program, coursework and clinical training are woven together so that scientific knowledge is continually applied to real patient scenarios rather than taught in isolation. The program suits students who have completed substantial prior university coursework and are committed to a lengthy, clinically intensive path toward becoming a licensed chiropractor, with an emphasis on research literacy and evidence-informed decision-making throughout their training. Graduates emerge prepared to practice as primary-contact health care providers specializing in spinal and musculoskeletal conditions.

Application Details

Start Date: August
Application Deadline: Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) applies directly to the college for its single Doctor of Chiropractic Program, with one annual intake. The deadline for receipt of the general-admission application and all required documentation, including transcripts and any additional documents required of applicants educated abroad, is November 30 at 11:59 p.m.; CMCC states this deadline cannot be extended. Outcomes are announced by mid-May, and any conditional offer requires outstanding coursework to be completed by May 31 before the intake begins. International applicants use the same November 30 deadline as domestic applicants rather than a separate one, though CMCC currently notes it is awaiting federal confirmation on whether it may accept international applications for the coming cycle. Admission is firm, not rolling. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
