BA/BS in Communication and Media Studies

This is a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies at the University of Calgary, delivered through the Faculty of Arts; a related Bachelor of Communication and Media Studies option is also offered in partnership with the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. The program examines communications and their dynamics and impact on contemporary societies and cultures, with sample coursework in communication research methods, feminist media studies, professional and technical communication, and digital rhetoric. Students can pursue an honours degree track involving in-depth study of a specific topic under faculty supervision, and a co-operative work placement option offers full-time paid work experience that alternates with academic terms.
