This honours engineering degree meets demand for electrical and electronics engineers across power, manufacturing, transport and white-goods industries, where such engineers play a central role in generating and distributing the electrical energy that drives industrial growth. Graduates are trained to design, develop, manufacture, install, operate, maintain and manage equipment, plant and systems across electrical, electronic, communication and computer systems fields.
Run over four years and 480 credit points at the Samabula campus, the programme prepares students for roles spanning electricity generation, transmission and distribution as well as electrical installation work such as power distribution and lighting control, with relevance across Fiji and the wider Pacific region. A six-month industry attachment gives graduates direct workplace exposure before they complete the degree.
