This Bachelor of Education (Secondary) prepares graduates to teach Industrial Arts in Fiji's secondary schools, pairing solid subject-matter grounding in both disciplines with training in contemporary classroom methods. Trainees complete seven subject-specific courses in each of the two teaching areas alongside nine dedicated education courses and one general service course, for twenty-four courses overall, and undertake supervised teaching practice in real secondary-school settings before graduating.
Delivered over three years and worth 360 credit points, the degree is offered at FNU's Nasinu, Samabula campuses. Entry requires a Fiji Year 13 pass with at least 220 of 400 marks across four subjects, including English at a minimum of 50 percent, together with a pass covering Technical Drawing and/or Applied Technology; applicants aged 21 or over who lack this exact academic record may still be admitted on the strength of relevant maturity, work experience or prior learning.
