This diploma gives students a working understanding of how a modern front office is run, covering the tools, procedures and protocols used across today's office systems. It looks at the roles that exist within an organisation and the standards of internal and external communication expected of staff who sit at the front of house, preparing graduates for reception, cashiering and guest-facing administrative roles.
Taught across the Labasa, Namaka and Nasese campuses over two years for 240 credit points, the Front Office Operations major starts with microcomputer applications, front office procedures and cashiering before adding tourism, hospitality operations and business management fundamentals in the second year.
