Overview

The programme prepares graduates for the agrégation of mathematics, which qualifies them to teach at secondary and first-year university level. It reinforces the mathematical foundations of the licence and first Master year and develops modelling, often linked with other sciences. Particular attention is paid to written and oral expression. The research component is a memoir written under the supervision of IRMA faculty, and the teaching team comes from that research institute. The Master is a single year, worth 120 ECTS credits, with 803 teaching hours, taught in French on campus. It is open to students in continuing education as well as initial training. Entry is at second-year level only, and candidates need a completed first Master year in pure mathematics. Admission is based on results in prerequisite subjects in earlier years.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Second-year entry only at BAC+4. Completed M1 in pure mathematics required. Selection on results in prerequisite subjects.
